— Terms of service
The deal, in plain English.
By using PageGate, uploading a page, or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
What PageGate is
PageGate lets you upload an HTML page and share it through a PageGate link. Some pages are password-protected. Some Pro pages can be public.
You own the content you upload. We only get the limited rights needed to host, store, secure, process, decrypt when needed to provide the service, display, and transmit your pages through PageGate.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for what you upload and share.
Do not use PageGate to host or distribute malware, phishing pages, scams, illegal content, CSAM or exploitative content, content that infringes someone else’s rights, or anything designed to harm PageGate, other users, or viewers.
We may remove pages, suspend accounts, block access, or contact relevant authorities if we believe PageGate is being abused.
Plans and limits
Anonymous pages are free, require no account, and are designed for one-off links. They expire after 1 day.
Free accounts include up to 3 active links, 7-day expirations, a dashboard, and password reset. Free pages cannot be manually deleted today; they expire on their own.
Pro includes up to 100 active links, custom URLs, custom expirations up to forever, edit-in-place, view counts, and no PageGate footer.
We may change plan limits or pricing in the future. For paid subscriptions, we will try to give reasonable notice before changes materially affect an active subscription.
Billing and cancellation
Pro is billed through Stripe. You can cancel Pro through the billing portal.
If Pro lapses or is canceled, you keep Pro features through the end of the paid billing period. After that, PageGate provides a 30-day grace period where you can choose which 3 eligible pages to keep under the Free plan limits.
If you do not choose, PageGate may auto-pick the most recently viewed eligible pages. After grace ends, pages above the Free limit may be deleted. Kept pages may lose Pro-only settings such as custom URLs and longer expirations.
Availability and data loss
PageGate is provided as-is. We try to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent storage, data preservation, or error-free operation.
Pages can become unavailable because they expire, are deleted, violate these terms, are affected by outages, or are affected by bugs or provider issues.
You should keep your own copy of anything important before uploading it.
No warranties
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PageGate is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PageGate and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or service interruptions.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid PageGate in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you have not paid us.
Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will try to provide notice through the site, dashboard, or email. Continued use of PageGate after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
